Ever feel like the ad tech industry is playing a game of cookie roulette? Well, Google just pressed pause on the drama for the third time! πͺ
They delayed the demise of third-party cookies on Chrome due to regulatory concerns and industry readiness.
Despite mixed reactions, some industry insiders see the delay as a chance to fine-tune privacy-safe solutions. But others are urging the industry not to lose momentum in the shift away from cookies.
In the end, it's a waiting game as Google and regulators work through the cookie riddle. Ready for the next twist?

For this weekβs edition, the spotlight is on Smol.
Smol started life as a roster of dApps designed to make common crypto tasks easier. Whether itβs sending tokens to multiple addresses in one tx with Disperse, or migrating all your tokens from one wallet to another, Smol was born from a desire to make βblockchain choresβ simpler and painless.
With the launch of Smol v2, these dApps have undergone an extensive UI facelift and much-needed UX full-body sculpting.
At the heart of Smol v2 is the βstored locallyβ address book designed to save users time and protect them from common address spoofing scams. This address book powers the Smol hub, where the magic happens, from simple token sends to full-on disbursements.
Stay tuned for more Smol dApps launching in the coming months! Like Smol Earn, designed to be the most user-friendly way to access DeFi yields.
#1 - Link Building βBaitβ π³
Basically, you mention a person or brand in your content, then send them a heads-up - "Hey, check out what we said about you!". It's called "ego bait" because it strokes their ego, a bit. :)
Let's say you're writing a blog post about the top crypto to watch in 2024. You mention a new DeFi platform, and then you reach out to let them know you've featured them. βMaybe you can share it on your socials, or add the link on your own blogβ.
Making connections and getting backlinks.
#2 - Your Landing Page? A Letter π
You read that right. If you go on your landing page, is the copy difficult to read? Does it sound too formal, or too stiff?
Well, it shouldnβt. It should sound exactly as youβd speak. Like you are talking directly to your customer.
So imagine youβre writing them a letter. Be natural. And donβt highlight the benefits of your products, but rather how you solve the customerβs problem.
Ready to rewrite?
#3 - Strong Opener πͺ
A great social media post needs one thing. A strong opener. The only way to stop people in their scrolls.
You can do that by using powerful language. Inspired by Justin Welsh:
Instead of writing "I quit my job" - "I escaped the rat race."
Instead of writing "Companies could onboard employees better" - "Most companies suck at onboarding."
Instead of writing "Many Twitter users think LinkedIn is useless" - "Twitter hates LinkedIn."
